Education

Dalarwen is a superbly located base for outdoor pursuits and learning about the natural world. We are situated in an area with very dark skies and within easy striking distance of nature reserves and the coast. We have a selection of learning resources for young and old to become acquainted with the natural environment and wildlife in the local area, such as I.D. guides and various books on subjects from local history, to astronomy, to wildlife.

Outward bound activities locally include hiking, cycling and pony trekking; with some walking and mountain bike trails leading straight from the house. Dalarwen is also a useful base for trips to the coast, with swimming, coasteering and kayaking opportunities, as well as sealife observation from land or boat trips.

It is an excellent chance to experience first hand off-grid living, and learn about the history and cultural heritage of a beautiful and fascinating area.
